Committees

Architectural Committee 

The Architectural Committee is responsible for preserving and enhancing the aesthetic appeal and property values of the community. It ensures that all improvements, alterations, and new constructions within the community align with the architectural standards and guidelines of the House Rules, Bi-Laws, and MD Condo Act.

Bereavement Committee

The Bereavement Committee is responsible for providing support and comfort to community members who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The committee coordinates and provides appropriate services and resources during the bereavement period. 

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee is responsible for managing and coordinating all internal and external communications within the community. This committee ensures that all residents are informed about activities, events, and other relevant information through various channels such as this website, email, newsletters, announcements, calendars, and the Facebook group. The Communications Committee would appreciate your suggestions, comments, and ideas.

Community Center

The Community Center Committee is responsible for managing and maintaining the community center as a hub of community activity. This includes overseeing the use of the facility for homeowners' meetings, activities, private rentals, the exercise room, and the library. 

Finance and Investment

Finance and Investments is responsible for overseeing the financial health of Summerland Manor Condominium, Inc., ensuring the responsible management of the association's funds, and making recommendations for investments that support the long-term financial stability of the community. 

Grounds Committee

Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal and environmental health of the community's shared outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, clean, and enjoyable for all residents.

Maintenance Committee

Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and improvement of all common areas and facilities of the Community, ensuring that the community is safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing for all residents, and reporting all items to the Board of Directors.

Safety Committee

The Safety Committee is responsible for promoting, developing, and implementing safety and security practices within the community that encourage participation and compliance. "Safety is everyone's business!"  

Social Committee

The Social Committee is responsible for fostering a sense of community and promoting neighborly connections among residents. They organize social events and activities that encourage participation and engagement within the community.
